The South East Airshow at Manston International Airport

The long awaited Airshow returns after many years and will be a spectacular event, together with lots of other attractions for all the family.

AS Enterprises  and Heritage Events bring this incredibly popular airshow back to Manston Airport after many years absence.
The show which ran from the 2nd World War now returns in June 2013, with an impressive list of aircraft some of which will be on the ground for an even closer view.
The world-famous delta wing Vulcan Bomber aircraft will be at the show for what could be its last ever year of flying displays.

 The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
The Battle of Britain Memorial flight (BBMF) is truly one of the most majestic sights in the skies.
The Avro Lancaster is the most famous and successful RAF heavy bomber of World War Two.
7,377 Lancaster’s were built between 1941 and early 1946. Of these, there are 17 known largely complete and remaining in the world with two airworthy. One of them is based in the UK, operated by The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the other is in Canada.

The Battle of Britain Memorial flight (BBMF) is truly one of the most majestic sights in the skies.

 The PBY Catalina series of flying boats was originally conceived to meet a military requirement and its development built on Consolidated’s experience with earlier flying boat designs. The Catalina named "Miss Pick Up" was an aircraft with a long and historic operational service life in the RNoAF from 1942 -1961.

Helicopter flights

Pleasure Flights during the South East Airshow. Each flight will be a 6-8 mile circuit (or flight path suited to ATC) which will last for approximately 5 minutes. The aircraft we will use will be a Bell 206 Jetranger which can seat four passengers at any one time. If you live near a motorway, head for the M2 coastbound, which then changes to the A229 Thanet Way. Stay on the A229 Thanet Way which then changes to the A229 Canterbury Road West. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the B2190 Minster Road. At the next roundabout, take 2nd exit on to B2190 Spitfire Road where you will be directed to the parking areas.

Southeastern operate hourly High-Speed services to/from London St Pancras departing Ramsgate at 5 minutes past the hour throughout the day. Journey time is approximately 1 hour 16 minutes.

In addition, Southeastern operates regular services to Ramsgate from London Victoria or London Charring Cross.

Information

Pets are not permitted to the event, with the exception of guide dogs.

Photography and filming is permitted for personal use only and not for commercial gain without prior permission from Heritage Events. We always publish new photographs on our website and welcome any forwarded to us.

Booking your tickets is easy on our website, however you can purchase your tickets on the gate on the day.

Fires and BBQs Fires and BBQs are not permitted in the grounds.

Camping and overnight staying is not permitted in the grounds

Disabled We have provisions for disabled parking and WC facilities at our events. Although most of the ground is flat, the event is all on grass.

Changes to the event
Heritage Events will always endeavour to have all the aircraft and displays within the event as advertised, however we may change, substitute or cancel these at any time, without prior notice.
